There is a common misconception that if we can’t give God a "full meal" of study, then a "snack" isn't worth it. But think about it this way: if you were starving, wouldn’t a single piece of fruit be better than nothing at all?
A five-minute morning Bible study isn't about checking a religious box. It’s about recalibrating your compass. When you start your morning with Boise sermons or a few verses of Scripture, you are setting the tone for how you respond to stress, how you love your family, and how you view your coworkers. The 5-Minute Framework
Here is a simple, repeatable structure you can use tomorrow morning before the chaos starts.
Minute 1: The Heart Check (Prayer)
Don't just jump into the text. Take sixty seconds to breathe. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what He wants to show you today. A simple prayer like, "Lord, I’m here. Speak to my heart and help me see You in these verses," is more than enough. This minute is about shifting from "busy mode" to "listening mode."
Minutes 2-3: The Deep Dive (Reading)
Forget about reading a whole chapter. Pick a book of the Bible (we recommend starting with the Gospel of John or the Psalms) and read just 3 to 8 verses. Read them slowly. If you find a word that sticks out, read them again.
Minute 4: The Takeaway (Reflection)
Ask yourself one simple question: What does this tell me about who God is?
Or: How does this truth change the way I look at my day?
By narrowing your focus to just one thought, you make it manageable and memorable.
Minute 5: The Daily Anchor (Prayer & Application)
Turn that one thought into a final prayer. Ask for the strength to live out that truth today. Then, pick one phrase or one verse to "carry" with you.

One of the best ways to ensure your five minutes actually sticks is to keep the truth visible. At 1Love Christian Church, we’re big on "Practical Faith for Real Life." This means taking that one verse you read at 6:30 AM and making it part of your 10:00 AM coffee break.
Write your "anchor verse" on a sticky note and put it on your car dashboard or your computer monitor. When you’re stuck in traffic on Eagle Road, that little note reminds you that God is with you. While your personal morning study is vital, we weren't meant to walk this path alone. 1Love Christian Church is a small, tight-knit community of about 50 to 70 people. We aren't a mega-church where you get lost in the crowd. We’re more like a family.
When you have questions about what you’re reading in your five-minute study, you need a place where you can actually talk about it. Our Bible Study & Discipleship groups are designed for exactly that. We gather in living rooms and small spaces to dig deeper into the Word together.
There is something incredibly powerful about saying, "Hey, I was reading this morning and didn't quite get this verse," and having a brother or sister in Christ walk through it with you over a cup of coffee. That’s the kind of authenticity we strive for in everything we do.
Man Up: Bible Study for the Guys
Men, we know your schedules are often the most packed. Between work, family, and everything else, it’s easy to let your spiritual life slide to the back burner. That’s why we created the Man Up Men’s Ministry.
If you’re finding it hard to stay consistent with your morning study, come hang out with us. We talk about real issues, study the Word, and encourage each other to be the men God called us to be. Sometimes, all it takes is a Saturday morning breakfast with other guys to get your fire back.

Go Deeper on Sundays
Your five-minute daily habit is the foundation, but we also love to "build the house" together on Sundays. If you want to dive deeper into the context of what you’re reading, our Sunday morning schedule is designed to help you grow.
We start at 9:30 AM with our In-Depth Bible Study. This is a great time to ask the "tough" questions. We follow that with our main Worship Service at 10:30 AM and a powerful Sermon at 11:00 AM.
