Boise is a growing city, and in the midst of all the new construction and bustling downtown life, it’s easy to feel a little lost. Many "mega-churches" offer incredible productions, but it’s often difficult to find a place where people actually know your name.
At 1Love Christian Church, we purposefully lean into being a smaller, tight-knit community of about 50 to 70 members. We value authenticity over production and connection over spectacle. When you walk through our doors, you aren't just a number; you are a brother or sister in Christ. Our mission is to create a space where local church events in Boise aren't just items on a calendar, but opportunities for genuine spiritual growth and life-changing fellowship.
Your Sunday Morning at 1Love Christian Church
Sunday is the heartbeat of our week. It’s when we all come together to recharge, refocus, and remember why we do what we do. If you’re planning your first visit, here is exactly what you can expect:
9:30 AM – In-Depth Bible Study & Adult Q&A
We start our morning with a deep dive. Led by seasoned teachers like Dale Cornett, our 9:30 AM Bible Study is a time for serious exploration of the Word. This isn't a lecture where you just sit and listen; it’s a discussion. We encourage questions, curiosity, and the kind of "iron sharpening iron" that happens when we study Scripture together.
10:30 AM – Praise & Worship
After Bible Study, we transition into our main gathering. At 10:30 AM, our worship team leads us in a time of musical praise. Whether you love the classic hymns or modern worship songs, the focus is always the same: giving glory to God. It’s a casual atmosphere, so don’t worry about dressing up, come as you are.
11:00 AM – The Sunday Sermon
At 11:00 AM, we open the Word for the Sunday message. Our sermons are designed to be practical, biblical, and grace-centered. We don't just want to give you information; we want to provide inspiration and tools you can use in your daily life in Boise throughout the week.
Beyond the Sunday Service: Mid-Week Fellowship
A healthy faith needs more than just one hour a week. That’s why 1Love Christian Church hosts several regular events designed to foster deeper relationships and practical discipleship.
Friday Fellowship: Dinner and Discipleship
One of our favorite traditions is the Friday Fellowship. Every Friday at 6:30 PM, we gather at different homes throughout the Boise area for a family-style dinner. There’s something special about breaking bread together that opens up the heart.
These evenings include conversation, laughter, prayer, and a short Bible study. It’s the perfect place for newcomers to get to know the "real" us outside of the sanctuary. Because these are hosted in homes, we ask that you contact us for the location each week.
Man Up Men’s Ministry
For the men in our community, we believe in building strong, courageous, and biblical brotherhood. Our Man Up Men’s Ministry meets every Saturday morning from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
Expect coffee, hearty snacks, and honest conversations about what it means to lead well in our families, our workplaces, and our city. It’s a no-judgment zone where men high-school age and up can find the support they need to "man up" in their faith.
Equipping the Saints: Training and Outreach
We are passionate about not just keeping the Gospel to ourselves but sharing it with our neighbors. Boise is a mission field, and we want to be prepared.
- Wednesday Night Recharge: From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we host a midweek boost for both teens and adults. It’s a time to "recharge" our spiritual batteries through community and focused growth.
- Gospel-Sharing Training: Every Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, we offer training on how to naturally and effectively share your faith with others.
- Outreach & Evangelism: We regularly partner with local Boise projects to serve the community and share the love of Jesus through action.
Finding Your Place on a Serve Team
A great way to feel like you belong is to start contributing. At 1Love Christian Church, we have a variety of Serve Teams where you can use your unique gifts:
- Hospitality & Greeters: Help us make every newcomer feel like they’ve come home.
- Kids Ministry: Our "God's Squad" and Children's Church teams are always looking for passionate people to invest in the next generation.
- Media & Tech: If you have a knack for sound or visuals, help us bring our services to life.
- Prayer Team: Join the group dedicated to lifting up the needs of our congregation and city.
