Our growth during the week is often sparked by what we start on Sunday mornings. One of the highlights of our teaching ministry is the in-depth Bible study led by Dale Cornett. With decades of wisdom as a retired professor from Boise Bible College, Dale brings a depth to the Word that is rare and precious.
This study happens right before our main service, and it’s an incredible time for questions, discussion, and digging into the "meat" of the scriptures. If you’ve ever felt like you wanted to go deeper than a standard sermon, this is the place to be.
Grace Over Perfection: Our Current Focus
In our recent Boise sermons, we have been exploring the radical concept of "Grace Over Perfection." In a world that demands we have it all together, the Gospel tells us that we are loved exactly as we are, even as God leads us into who we are meant to be. This theme has been resonating deeply within our tight-knit community of about 60 members. We aren't a mega-church where you get lost in the crowd; we are a family where your name is known and your growth is celebrated.
When we study the Bible together on Tuesday mornings, we remind each other that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). You don't have to be a biblical scholar to start; you just have to be hungry for the truth.
Man Up: Strengthening the Men of 1Love
A key part of our growth involves our "Man Up Men’s Ministry." We believe that when men are grounded in the Word, families thrive and communities are strengthened. Man Up is more than just a meeting; it’s a brotherhood focused on accountability, leadership, and spiritual maturity. Whether we are discussing a passage of Scripture or helping a neighbor with a project, the goal is always the same: to be men of God who lead with love.
Community Beyond the Page
Bible teaching at 1Love Christian Church doesn't just happen behind a pulpit or in a classroom. It happens around dinner tables and in backyards. Our Friday Fellowship dinners are a perfect example of this. We believe that some of the best "teaching" happens when we share a meal and share our lives. It’s where the "one another" commands of the Bible: love one another, pray for one another, encourage one another: really come to life.
