At 1Love Church, we believe that church should be more than just a place you visit for an hour once a week. While our Sunday services are the heartbeat of what we do, the "real stuff": the deep friendships, the support through hard times, and the shared laughter: often happens when we step outside the sanctuary and into each other's lives.
With a congregation of about 50 to 70 people, we aren’t a "mega-church" where you can hide in the back row. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way. We are a tight-knit family, and we want to share why that community matters and how you can be a part of it.
The Power of the "Small Church" Experience
There is something special about a church where the pastor knows your kids' names and the person sitting next to you actually follows up on that prayer request you mentioned last week. Midweek Boost: Wednesday Night ReCharge
Let’s be honest: by Wednesday, the inspiration from Sunday morning can start to feel a little thin. The stresses of work, family, and life have a way of draining our spiritual tanks. That’s why we host our Wednesday Night ReCharge.
This isn't just another service. It’s a midweek gathering designed to give you that spiritual "top-off." It’s a space where we can dive deeper into the Word, ask the hard questions, and support one another through the middle of the week. For our teens and adults alike, it’s a vital touchpoint that keeps us grounded in our faith and connected to our church family.
Man Up: Building Stronger Men for a Stronger Community
One of the cornerstones of our community is the Man Up Men’s Ministry. We recognize that men often face unique challenges in today’s world, and having a brotherhood to lean on makes all the difference.
Every Saturday morning from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, the men of 1Love gather for "Man Up." It’s a time of breakfast, fellowship, and straight talk about what it means to lead, serve, and follow Christ as a man in today's culture. These aren't formal lectures; they are real conversations among friends. When men are supported and encouraged, it strengthens their marriages, their families, and our entire church. Friday Fellowship: The End-of-Week Gathering
As the weekend approaches, our Friday Fellowship provides a space for even more relaxed connection. These gatherings are less about a structured program and more about just being together. Whether it's a potluck, a game night, or a focused prayer meeting, the goal is always the same: to build relationships that go beyond a "hello" in the hallway.
When we share meals and life together, the walls come down. We stop being "church acquaintances" and start being "church family."
Sunday: The Anchor of Our Week
While we place a huge emphasis on midweek connection, Sunday remains the anchor that holds us all together. It’s the time when our entire family gathers under one roof to worship and learn.
If you’re thinking about visiting us, here is what you can expect on a typical Sunday morning at 1Love Church:
- 9:30 AM – Bible Study: A chance to dig into the scriptures in a small-group setting before the main service.
- 10:30 AM – Worship: A time of singing and praise where we fix our hearts on God.
- 11:00 AM – Sermon: A practical, Bible-based message from Pastor Daro or one of our leaders.
Our services are casual. You don’t need to dress up unless you want to. We care more about who you are than what you’re wearing. We want you to feel at home the moment you walk through the door.
Why Real Connection Matters
You might be wondering, "Why put so much effort into these extra gatherings?"
The Bible tells us in Acts 2 that the early church met together daily, breaking bread and sharing their lives. They didn't just have a "Sunday meeting." They had a shared life. We believe that this model is just as important today as it was 2,000 years ago.
Real connection matters because:
- Life is Hard: We weren't meant to carry our burdens alone. Having a community means having people who will pray for you, bring you a meal when you're sick, and listen when you're struggling.
- Faith is a Journey: We learn better together. When we discuss the Bible in a Bible study or a midweek group, we get perspectives that help us grow in ways we couldn't on our own.
- Joy is Multiplied: Celebrating victories: baptisms, new jobs, anniversaries: is so much better when you have a family to celebrate with you.
